Ingredients

Not Coffee Original: Roasted chicory, Australian organic roasted carob, roasted chickpea.

Not Coffee Original Vanilla: Roasted chicory, Australian organic roasted carob, roasted chickpea, natural vanilla flavour.

Not Coffee Original Hazelnut: Roasted chicory, Australian organic roasted carob, roasted chickpea, natural hazelnut flavour.

Not Coffee Original Caramel: Roasted chicory, Australian organic roasted carob, roasted chickpea, natural caramel flavour.

Preparation

 Espresso Machine

Fill portafilter with Not Coffee Original (same amount as you would regular coffee). Don’t overfill as Not Coffee swells during brewing. Tap firmly and brew into your cup. For added strength press brew button again for a second round of extraction.

Moka (Caffettiera) / Italian Stovetop Espresso Maker

Fill filter with Not Coffee Orginal, do not overfill or press. Add water to the bottom chamber and brew like regular coffee. Pour desired amount into cup, adjust strength based on personal taste.

French Press

Add 1-2 tbsp to 3-cup pots, 3-4 tbsp to 8-cup pot, 5-6 tbsp to 12-cup pot. Pour in boiling water. Let seep for 5 minutes before pressing the plunger down. Pour desired amount into cup, adjust strength to taste.

OMG Best (Not) Coffee Sub

I headr about this from a friend and thought I would give it a go. I love coffee but my body not so much first thing in the morning.
I purchased the ground to use in my plunger and it is just wonderful. It has the taste of plunger coffee without the rush of caffeine that upsets my stomach in the morning.
I love the ritual of making the coffee and having it with brekkie. I also find that I don't need to have a real coffee until later in the day, which then means that I'm enjoying that more too. Win - Win for me!
My faves are the hazelnut and caramel and I will be buying some more of these before I run out!

I was surprised by how much flavour it had. Quite moreish. I preferred the original. The flavoured ones were a touch sweet for me but my teen loved them. I've recommended to my friends.

Delicious!

It will never replace a good strong coffee for me but it is a delicious alternative for the days I am craving another coffee but don’t want more caffeine. The plain and hazelnut are my favourites.
The only problem was the flavoured ones didn’t work in my fully automatic coffee machine. It says grind is too fine so it must be detecting the small flavour granules through it. So I will probably go with the instant ones in future. This wouldn’t be a problem if you have a machine where you tamper it yourself.

I was hesitant to switch out my regular black coffee for Not Coffee but knew it had to be done.
