Ingredients
There were several factors we considered when developing Not Coffee as a coffee alternative.
The first thing was (of course) that it looked, tasted and performed like coffee. Next, we had to ensure that it contained no caffeine or stimulants. Then, we wanted to make sure that our ingredients were naturally vegan-friendly and did not contain gluten, dairy, nut, added sugars, preservatives or additives. And last but not least, we wanted Not Coffee to have health benefits and nourished our body.

Chicory Root
Chicory is a plant that boasts a range of health benefits. Its seeds, roots, leaves and flowers have been used for centuries in cooking and traditional medicine. Fresh chicory root is composed of 68% inulin. Inulin is a type of fiber that acts as a prebiotic, meaning that it feeds the beneficial bacteria in your gut. These helpful bacteria play a role in reducing inflammation, fighting harmful bacteria, and improving mineral absorption.
Australian Carob
Carob grows on trees and is a member of the legume family. The carob tree, has fruit that looks like a dark brown pea pod, which carries pulp and seeds. Using it for health benefits goes back 4,000 years to ancient Greece. You can eat carob pods when they’re fresh, dried or roasted. People who add carob to their diet have seen benefits like weight loss and decreased stomach issues. Since carob is naturally high in fiber and has no caffeine, it’s ideal for people with high blood pressure.
Roasted Chickpea
Chickpeas are one of the earliest cultivated legumes. They also contain several key vitamins and minerals. In fact, roasted and ground chickpeas have been used as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee for centuries. The fiber, potassium, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, and selenium in chickpeas all support heart health. The iron, calcium, and other nutrients in chickpeas can all contribute to healthy bone structure and strength.
